 About Me: Hello, My real
name is Paul, Paco is my pseudo name. I’ve been building custom fishing
rods for nearly twelve years. The use of Lamiglas blanks and Fuji
components are the main ingredients of my custom rods. My custom “PACO”
grips have pushed my custom rods over the top. Whether it be a boat
rod, surf rod or fly rod, salt or fresh water, I enjoy building my surf
rods most of all.
For the most part, I
fish the South Shore of Long Island, but come back to my roots, on
occasion, to the North Shore to fish some of the rivers,
rocky beaches, back bays or anywhere I could wet a line. I enjoy fishing throughout Long Island in my Kayak. Custom rods play a big
part when Kayak fishing, depending if you’re trolling, spin-fishing or
even fly fishing. You should always have the proper rod to match
your Kayak and what your fishing for. Setting you
up for a custom fishing rod will take some time; after determining the
where, the what and even the when, your fishing. The reel you're going to use for that rod plays a big part, how long would you like your rod grips? Just some of many questions you will be asked to get you set-up properly. Don't forget about your favorite colors! All and all, it’s about “YOU”.
I've been doing some work with Lamiglas recently; I assisted in re-designing the Tri-Flex Surf Series rod. It now has a new look, Alconite guides and the New 2011 "Paco" shrink grip. I also worked close with them on the New Alberto Knie Extreme series.
